$50 BAR Gamble: Slider/Burger & Fries Eating Challenge in Las Vegas | Freak Eating

trying to get born and raised 15 sliders and a Cinnamon roll this morning 13 sliders and Hurairah guess they found off four more to go you got any advice for me on the slider fight enjoying enjoying they were really good and irate but mister that’s my nature I mean they’re all very good clothes all right I get that I’m jealous you have to you get to enjoy these flavor fries I just ended it but they’re so good yeah but I’m Riley we’ll see what happens you got it all right you can do it Adam what’s up everybody welcome to another freak eating challenge once again we’re in Las Vegas at another restaurant off the strip offering a crazy man vs. food gamble the challenge is actually called the bar gamble it consists of 13 different types of mini hamburgers and a large side of sailor fried finish it all in one hour and you win free food and a t-shirt advertising the restaurant if you can’t get it done they set you back 50 bucks plus tax now I took this challenge at February of 2013 and I know it still exists today but I’m sure they raised the price a bit it’s probably closer to 70 bucks today you better call it head if you want to take a challenge so what can I say about the restaurant the place is named bar and the initials stand for born and raised you’re basically a bar that deserves some decent food – I don’t remember all the flavors of the sliders but I do remember they mostly resemble typical fast-food options with a couple gourmet editions the roast beef slider was pretty solid and you couldn’t go wrong with the classic cheeseburger my favorite of the bunch had to be the Thanksgiving slider it offered you turkey along with cranberry sauce and mashed potato on a little roll I’m a sucker for American Thanksgiving cuisine so I knew going in that I’d enjoyed that one more than the others the bar in a nice ambience and desires the staff and customers are really into the challenge which is always cool but the place was dark inside it was the middle of the day but you wouldn’t know it by the way this video looks it just wasn’t a lot of light penetrating into the back of the place I always felt it was kind of ironic that they went with 13 sliders because many people see 13 is an unlucky number and this is Las Vegas a town that prominently features the themes of lucky numbers Lady Luck and lucky fortunes major loss to gambling eating is it really about luck though it’s more about raw hard science because your stomach have enough room for all the food in front of you man can you get it all in before the time limit expires those are pretty much the hardest questions you’ll face in this sport this isn’t rocket science or politics it’s just stuffing food in a bag and you get down to it no complex equations odd rituals or magic unexplained phenomena like luck well it was a lot of food an hours seemed like plenty of time for what was in farming so I ate in a fairly normal and relaxed pace now if you’re curious about the sailer fries they’re basically just french fries covering a mix of melted cheese onions and a zesty salad dressing I would have preferred to achieve fries and poutine but those weren’t on the menu the challenge cannot be changed or substituted from what’s printed so the Sailor fries were very much part of the bar challenge but here’s the twist the Sailor fries were not originally part of the bar gamble the gamble was originally 15 sliders and a huge cinnamon roll for some reason they change the huge cinnamon roll to a big plate of fries and knock the slider counting down to 13 I was really looking forward to desserts so finding out that I was eating fried instead of the pretty big swirl that’s why we went for donuts after the challenge I’m not joking either it was actually a Winchell’s donut shop in the same parking lot with boring raids now that is we coincidence so this was filmed in February of 2013 just so you know this was the same weekend in Vegas where I took on a huge hundred and twenty ounce steak dinner and where I took a stab at a tag team donut eating record was Mickey sudo you see I love donuts Mickey sudo is one of the greatest competitive eaters in the United States if not the world and it was a lot of fun to take that donut challenge with her both of those videos are linked in the description section if you’re curious or you simply haven’t seen them before the video quality is pretty rough here I wish we used a tripod and I wish we had better lighting but we didn’t and that’s a big part of why I held onto this video for so long without publishing it and special thanks goes to my friend one more bite who you saw at the beginning of this video it came to hang out with us while I took the bar challenge he actually holds a speed eating record for the bar
