More like hundreds. 2) How to determine intravascular hemolysis: order a smear review to check for schistocytes. Schistocytes are destroyed RBCs. Their morphology may give clues as to the underlying process. 3) Order a DAT (Direct Antiglobulin Test) for IgG and Complement.
