Summer Foods That May Help Lower Your Blood Pressure
I love summer, who doesn’t? Love it! Time to relax, unwind. BBQ, watch some ball games. And I have three summer foods that may help lower your blood pressure. Number one, Drew. Kiwi, have one. One for you, one for me. The American Heart Association reports eating three kiwis a day may decrease blood pressure. That’s a good thing. Number two, Bananas. A study in the journal Hypertension found potassium rich foods can help lower your blood pressure and lastly watermelon. Research from Florida State University shows this summer staple can significantly reduce blood pressure in overweight individuals, both at rest and under stress. And a great way to rehydrate in the summer. Well these fruits are so wonderful, cause you’re right 90 plus percent water, loaded with nutrients. Fiber. Fiber. Good stuff.
