JUST SOME FRIENDS PLAYING HOCKEY BUT FOR A DORCHESTER MAN IT WAS THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME FOR LIFE-SAVING ACTION HAS THAT 46- YEAR-OLD HAD A HEART ATTACK. HE HAD NO PULSE. BUT ANOTHER MAN ON THE ICE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO. I CAME OUT OF THE COMPRESSOR ROOM I NOTICED A MAN DOWN ON THE ICE. Reporter: ERIC BAKER DRIVERS THE ZAMBONI. HE WAS WORKING SATURDAY AS A GROUP OF 40 SOMETHINGS ALL FRIENDS WHO GREW UP TOGETHER IN DORCHESTER HAD THEIR YEARLY REUNION AND HOCKEY GAME. WHEN CHRIS SUFFERED CARDIAC ARREST. HIS FRIENDS AROUND HIM. THEY WERE GETTING EMOTIONAL AND YELLING. Reporter: BUT SOME OF THE FRIENDS WERE FIRST RESPONDERS AND STARTED CPR. ERIC GRABBED THE RINK’S PORTABLE DEFIBRILLATOR. I GET THE PADS ON HIM AND TURNED THE MACHINE ON. HAD TO GIVE HIM A SHOCK. HIS WHOLE BODY CAME LITERALLY UP IN THE AIR. Reporter: CANTON FIREFIGHTERS JASON COLEMAN AND BRIAN ANSWERED THE EMERGENCY CALL. THEY A HUNDRED PERCENT SAVED THIS GUY’S LIFE. COAT TO SURVIVE IS IMMEDIATE GOOD CPR. HE HAS TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND YOU KNOW, THE DAY BEFORE FATHER’S DAY WAS IT’S REALLY NICE. WE DON’T ALWAYS GET GOOD OUTCOMES. SO THIS WAS REALLY NICE. IT WAS EMOTIONAL. IT WAS HOT. BUT HOPEFULLY THE FELLA’S OKAY. WE SHOULD POINT OUT THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT CHRIS HAS HAD A HEART TACK AT A HOCKEY RINK HIS BROTHER’S TELLING US THAT HE IS HOSPITALIZED BUT HE IS IN OF IMPROVING. HE ALSO TELLS US THE HOCKEY PLAYING DAYS ARE OVER. WHAT GREAT WORK BY THE PEOPLE THERE. THANK GOODNESS YOU HEARD THE
